Progressive Cocktail and Hors d'oeuvres Party Weekend     May 16 - 18

Foodies of Campit - this is your weekend ! !  We'll be focused on great tastes all weekend long.  Join us for a weekend of finding great foods, preparing great foods, and of course sampling great foods and drinks.  Following is our schedule for the weekend.

Friday

7:30pm –Meet ‘n Greet at Campit Cafe And Bonfire Party

Saturday:

8:30am- Coffee Social at Campit Café

10:00am- Gourmet shopping excursion-  Find the best ingredients available in Saugatuck, Douglas, and Fennville. You can buy gourmet prepared foods and special ingredients for tonight’s Party.

1:30pm- Take a Tour of Saugatuck Brewing Company-See Campit Office for details

2:30pm- Take a Tour of the Fennville Winery Wine Cellar.  An informative tour that includes wine tastings.- See Campit Office for details

7:00pm- Progressive Cocktail and hors d’ oeuvres Party begins at Campit Cafe

Sunday:

8:30am –Coffee Social at Campit Café

Spring Bears in the Woods Weekend Review

It was great to see so many Members come out for our first Bears weekend of the season.  The chilly weather was no match for the furrrrr…oucity of the Bears as we burst out of winter hibernation together.

Friday evening’s Meet and Greet kicked off the weekend and gave us a great opportunity to reconnect with old and make new friends.  Some gathered around the campfire while others lined up to forage on the hotdogs.  Those who joined us for Bear Bingo Friday night left with some laughs,  some T-shirt prizes and cuddly bears as “fruits” of their first night hunting.

Saturday morning, the Café was the place to find the Bear’s, sharing last night’s steamy stories over a steamy cup of morning coffee and fresh Bear Claws.  Saturday’s Chili Cook-Off was well attended as usual, with 6 great Chili entries vying for the prize.  All the entries were great and Campit Seasonal Tom took the top award for his amazing Chili, though the voting was very close.  Saturday night there were Bears roaming from campfire to campfire mingling and chatting late into the night.  For those who preferred to be inside we shared movies.

Sunday morning, we roamed into the Campit Café for morning wake-up coffee.  Then with stories of an ALL BEARS, ALL THE TIME weekend, we headed back to our real lives.  Bear Up Bears ! !  Campit has lots more Bear fun planned for this summer !
