Seasonal Sites

Spend the Whole Summer at Campit

The very best way to enjoy summer in Saugatuck is to make Campit your weekend/vacation home with a Seasonal Site lease. Campit Seasonal’s have their own site for the full 6 months Campit is open each year and then they leave their RV on site over the winter when we’re closed. Many Campit Seasonals have large decks and beautifully landscape their sites.

Seasonal Sites

Here are some of the options we offer for Seasonal leases:

  1. Vacant Seasonal RV Site Leases

If you own an RV and are interested in a vacant seasonal site for it at Campit, please contact us by phone or by emailing ForSale@CampitResort.com. Seasonal site leases start at just $270/month on a twelve month contract. Additional information can be found on the For Sale page or by emailing us at ForSale@CampitResort.com .

  2. Purchase a Pre-Owned Seasonal RV on Site at Campit

Visit the For Sale page. We have several great units already on seasonal sites which are available for purchase from their current owners. In addition to the purchase price, lessees are responsible for site lease, lease transfer fees, membership and electric charges. For additional information, contact us at ForSale@CampitResort.com

Well behaved pets are welcome in the Rental Trailers. Like some of us, they are old but still think of themselves as cute.
Rental trailer guests use the campground bathhouses and must bring their own sleeping bags or linens.

new_tent_area3Tenting is very popular at Campit. Campit offers a variety of tent camping options in four distinct tenting areas. Following is a description of each area.

The “Old Horseshoe” is Campit’s original and still most social tenting area. Its circular driveway provides easy access for setting up your campsite. (Note that onsite parking may be restricted on busy weekends.) All sites in the “Old Horseshoe” are equipped with electric service. $7/night is added the price of each site for the electric fee.

The “New Horseshoe” is Campit’s largest tenting area and offers sites for more private camping in a rustic wooded setting. Eight tent sites in the “New Horseshoe” are now equipped with electric service for an additional charge of $7/day.

“Creekside” tenting area offers sites in a natural wooded setting without electric service available. As such, it tends to be the quietest tenting area

“Westwood” offers a large wooded tenting area with adjacent parking lot. Electric service is available on some sites. Westwood is not open all weekends but can be requested by ClubCampit Members.

“Wisconsin” is a very rustic and private, hike-in tenting area and offers camping and private sunbathing options.

What are the Best States for RV Living?

You can choose any state to be your domicile state, but there are three states that are “domicile friendly,” making them popular choices for RVers: Texas, Florida, and South Dakota. These states make it easy to establish and maintain domicile. There are many mail-forwarding services set up in these states to process and forward your mail. They also have no state income tax.

If you establish domicile in one state but still have “contacts” in another state, you might find yourself caught between two states that both want you to pay income taxes or other fees. Choose one state, and cut ties with the other completely if you can.

RV Camping

Campit offers approximately 100 RV sites with a variety of site amenities. For daily and weekly RV camping our least expensive sites are Standard RV sites which are located in Central Park, Campit’s original camping area. Standard sites offer 30 amp electric service and water. Waste water can be disposed of at our Central Park dump station or honey wagon service is available at an extra charge. Larger Full Hook Up, 50 amp RV sites are available in the East Village and Westwood neighborhoods for both daily and weekly camping. Westwood also offers Pull-Through Full Hook RV sites.

Campit also offers more permanent RV sites that we call Seasonal Sites. Seasonal sites are located in each of Central Park, East Village and Westwood. Members rent Seasonal Sites on an annual basis
